I regularly struggled to log in and complete sessions, but this is a symptom of my anxiety and depression, avoiding "getting things done". However, where I would usually wait a few days to log in following receipt of an email, I only received the latest email yesterday and have completed within a day! That is definitely progress! I have many chores/jobs I need to do around the house and for myself and Over the last month I have managed to complete 3 of the bigger ones. I haven't set myself targets, but on days I've been feeling more positive, I have "made a start" on and subsequently completing the 3 tasks. I have found I enjoy my dog walking activities a lot more, I feel "connected" to the two local parks I walk each day, and have been visiting since I was a baby, and can not just see so much more but also feel and appreciate it as part of my "history", noticing changes, trees that have grown etc. I have attended a number of job interviews whilst completing the course and whilst I have used breathing to feel calmer and being more aware of myself, my presentation etc and whilst I felt the interviews went well and had positive feedback didn't get a job offer .... until an interview I attended almost 2 weeks ago and was offered (and accepted) a part time role. I'm just awaiting completion of pre-employment checks. Whilst I still have times I feel anxious I think getting back into work 4 mornings a week will bring back some routine to my life. I was struggling with my mental health before being made redundant in February 2023, but have recently completed an assessment and am awaiting an opening for CBT. It was also recognised during the assessment that I might be experiencing a level of PTSD. It had probably taken me 6 - 8 weeks before I telephoned to access these services (as above, I have previously put off jobs/tasks around the house and for myself) but I know I am now on the right track with this.

I have absolutely enjoyed this course, it has helped me massively, not just myself my autistic children too, i have been practicing the breathing and the food exercise with my children to help their anxiety, this course is so beneficial to an open mind person, this course could help millions of people if it was more widely available, it's really helped me relax more and step back, i do the exercises daily now, at the beginning it was a little difficult fitting them in because i didn't understand them well, but now it's just part of my daily routine, i will definitely recommend this course to everyone who suffers mental health, i am so lucky to have been able to do this course.

I enjoyed the programme. It did help in the short term. But I’m aware that I have to keep practising so I can change my way if managing stresses.

I found the Be Mindful course helpful, especially as a neurodiverse parent to children with additional needs. What I benefitted from most was the support of my mentor Ann. Speaking to her helped to keep up my motivation and gave me a goal to work toward whilst on the course.

Very grateful to you for providing this for free to carers, I've learnt some useful techniques and its given me a new outlook on approaching stressful situations. My only feedback would be that some of the exercises, particularly at the start of the course are long. To the point I almost didn't continue with it as I simply wasn't able to make that sort of time commitment, with a job and severely disabled twins to care for. The one I keep coming back to is the three minute breathing exercise which says it all really : ) Nonetheless - thank you, I appreciated the opportunity the course gave me to learn and reflect.

I did the full course several years ago to great benefit. I now use the body scan most bedtimes. Have done for years. I have restarted using the 15min? Meditation on occasions - all to frequent- when feeling anxious. I’ve tried other meditations over the years. Mainly Buddhist. But keep returning to these. I signed up to the newer meditation. Didn’t make the time to do it properly. Will sign on soon. Have just been diagnosed with very early Alzheimer’s. Know it will benefit me if I can relax and take the time to do it regularly. Four weeks ago i was enrolled on the Be Mindful Programme and felt nervous, anxious and did not believe i would find the time or the motivation to see it through. After just one week of doing the body scan exercise i could feel a distinct change in my stress and anxiety levels. This improvement was so marked that i was happy to continue and also manage my time better in order see the course through. As a person who has suffered with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and OCD, for all my adult life, i can only say that after just one month the results have been very positive. I now feel much more able to deal with the pressures of life and take time to appreciate my surroundings. It is also a source of comfort to know that the exercises are stored in my library for future use. This is an excellent course.

Breathing has always been my way of supporting myself in difficult or emotional moments. What I enjoyed was that I had never ever really though about my mind . Since doing this course I am now aware that I can put my mind into where I want it to be and using my anchor to bring me back yes my mind still wanders but I feel I can control this and take the time out for myself . I so enjoyed the body scan and mindful walking . I now enjoy my morning cuppa just focusing on that which puts my mind at rest allowing my self to focus on what my day requires. Most mornings I was like a headless chicken doing far too many things at once time which left me harassed and forgot things . I feel am in more routine which sets myself up for the day. I do the 3 minute breathing when I can . I found it difficult at first not to eat my raisin even funny but by exploring and taking the time to feel touch taste again it felt good also strange. I practiced a lot at my work place and one of my service users enjoyed listening in we spoke about the course he appear to settle well when I was practicing and listening to my course. A great course Thank you

An invaluable course in practising mindfulness in your daily life, which reduces stress and anxiety by slowing you down, making you think and breath first, which enhances appreciation for just being you and the things you do and experience - by doing this you feel you don't want to put yourself through unnecessary stressful and anxious situations, which can take a toll on your overall well-being. Definitely changes you for the better.
