I've dabbled in mindfulness in the past but never really got it, but the way it was explained in the course allowed me to understand what mindfulness really is and how to practice by myself or with others.

I found the course insightful and useful. It wasn't difficult to incorporate the exercises into my routine. I found the presenters easy to listen to and to follow. The whole ethos of being kind to oneself was refreshing and something I have taken on board. Life is challenging enough without giving ourselves a hard time!

An excellent course with e mails to remind you to log in to complete each session. It is important to remember that the 4 week course is not a 'quick fix' but provides all the tools to enable one to be be prepared, recognise and deal with stressful situations when they arise. It is important to remember to incorporate the learnings into every day life to help create a more peaceful and contented lifestyle and to not just think that the 4 week course is a 'cure'. Excellent teachings and guidance and with your own determination, effort and commitment, you can achieve anything you want to.

I thought I was quite a 'chilled' person until I undertook this course. It helped me to realise that there were certain triggers in my life/work that made me feel anxious or concerned. I would urge you to stay with the course, there are exercises you might find boring/not useful/not you... however, there will be others that are just right for you.

I had heard people mention Mindfulness and was interested to find out what exactly it is. This was a very good, clear, simple introduction into mindful practice and the theory behind it. The idea of being aware whilst you do a simple task, like breathing, and concentrating fully on that, letting thoughts simply drift by without engaging with them to keep you in the present moment. The course is useful but not essential. All the information in the course is freely available on the internet but its useful having it all it one place and easily accessible.

Thank you so much for helping me, step by step, through a very difficult and anxious time in my life. I have found the strategies really useful and they have changed my outlook on dealing with anxiety and made me more aware. I especially like the messages about being kind to yourself, not worrying if you miss a day and that your concentration might falter but that is OK because that is what the mind does.

I found this to be a supportive, well-paced course and it's very reassuring to know that I can continue to access the videos. I'll definitely do that as I find the activities calming and want to build them into daily life, no matter how demanding work is. I'm shifting to a better balance by setting aside time to look after myself.

I think I need to practice the exercises and breathing techniques and think of the end game rather than regret the short term results with stress as it is not normal times with a global Pandemic and personal issues such a loss of a close family member

It has been an interesting journey, I must admit I think I could do with resitting week 4 of the course as I feel I didn't participate in the activities as much as id have liked to. This month has been very busy for me in terms of work as well, working 3 straight weeks at work (with longer hours at the weekends). Although I had this busy period, I still managed to make time for this course and it has given me a greater perspective on what I need to do to be more present in my day. That was the main reason I took the course, I can handle stress adequate and other obstacles daily life throws at me, but the main thing for me is actually the feeling of being more present as I do feel in auto pilot so much. I still end up in auto pilot now but I am growing a wider awareness of when this is happening and I have a greater understanding of what I can do to combat this as well as a stepping stone in coming out of it. There was one highlight for me in the past 4 weeks which has really given me the hope and motivation to practice mindfulness. It happened during week 3 of the course, I was on my daily drive to work to which driving is a big auto piloted habit of mine. I was going down this one road in particular when I started to have a feeling of wakefulness and full presence in that moment, this was actually unprompted as well which made it even more beautiful and to actually feel that sense of awareness and presence in the moment has made me want to experience this again! I hope I can better myself into being more present like in this particular moment.
