I was really disappointed that all of the recorded clips weren't available once I had completed the course. I thought that the course information said the resources would be. By nature, a stressed or anxious person is not always able to focus fully and sometimes a person needs to hear a message repeatedly to embed it. Having not been able to concentrate and not now being able to access every single recording, this app ceases to be of use to me.

Being furloughed during a pandemic seemed like the perfect time to dig deeper into mindfulness . I had experienced one half-day course previously and knew in broad terms a little about it. I have a tendency to over-worry, over-think and rely on holidays or 'special days' to enjoy the magic of everyday living. I struggle with sleep (regular lack of it) and get regularly stressed out by work and family situations. I have just completed this course and am so glad I did. Hard work, but thank you Be Mindful Online for helping me re-set and finally start the journey - I have learned techniques, challenged myself and built in some discipline to get me started ! This will be a lifelong journey and I am keen to learn much more.

I was doubtful at first but found the course very user friendly. It proceeded at the right pace. I found the body scan and mindful movement especially calming. The first breathing excercise was useful but the second a bit too long. I suffer from the chronic pain of an autoimmune condition and hypertension and I believe the course has help me cope. I will continue for the next month and hope to see further improvements. Thank you.

The presenters are such lovely people I actually felt they were talking to only me. I have learned lessons and strategies that will be with me for life. Being able to manage stress and handle situations is a skill and when I started this course I was not aware of how life changing it would be. I urge people to stick with it, sometimes I felt a bit silly (when mindfully walking); but it has been worth it. Practice, practice and practice some more. When trying the meditations I could not last more than thirty seconds before thoughts came into my head. now, however, having practiced for quite a few weeks I am able to meditate for longer and found the breath meditation really useful if I wake in the night. I used to fall asleep doing the full body scan but have worked out a way of sitting up to do it. I am now reading more about the subject, gaining more examples of how I can lead my life and handle whatever life throws at me. Stick with it, even though it may feel at first like trying to learn a new language and someone trying to make you 'put the breaks I found it helps me to slow down, take stock and more importantly for me, when I begin to feel the overwhelming panic or fear I now know what to do. I have strategies, I have something to fall back on! I probably wont use everything I have learned but feel I now have a tool box full of things that I can pull out of the bag when needed. I found the course very helpful overall and it was very user friendly. I know I will take the bits that worked well for me forward in my life and I think that’s the important bit - to identify what works for you and find where you can incorporate it into your life. For me the shorter exercises worked best but I found I was using parts of the longer exercises too just adapting them to my situation. Some of the breathing exercises developed and fitted nicely alongside visualisation practices I have learnt previously In my life. This has already proved to be an invaluable tool at times of stress and I know will carry on being so in the future.

I can't really remember the first week but as the weeks continued I found this mindfulness course easier to navigate the playback and email reminders were very helpful and were just what I needed to keep me on task .I really enjoyed the whole experience.

I found it a bit hard to connect with the rather neutral and 'grey' tone of the course to begin with. I thought it was emotionless. But it all changed when the formal sitting meditation practice was introduced. I loved this practice and it made me understand immediately the 'neutral' tone of the course. I realised that all the practices are 'forms' that we are invited to use and play with - the content can only come from our own experience. I began to really appreciate the fact that the teachers are not trying to tell us how this experience should look like. It's really like learning a skill - instead of being fed with a new system of beliefs. Since then, I have developed a daily sitting meditation practice - without the guidance anymore - and it has a big impact on my life. Thank you!

I have found the course really useful and it has brought me back from the dark side. It took a lot for me to initially register and once I had I followed it through and took on board everything that was said. I found some of the course really useful. What has and is interesting is that I can do the body scan one day and achieve relaxation and then the next I just can't get my act together which I have found very disappointing. But persevere completes the mindfulness. The body scan is great! But the course has taught me that I can recognise my mood and just by carrying out some mindful breathing I can dissipate the situation most times. I will hopefully carry on and will be able to adopt the correct attitude that at the end of the day it doesn't matter so why get all worked up about something. Sorry a bit deep. Good course I've learnt a lot. Well done. Cheers John

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have always been an adventurous, determined, capable and successful person and had no experience of mental health issues until a few months ago, at 46 years of age. This came out of nowhere, with no clues and no signs, just like catching a virus. And suddenly I was thrown into a world of fear, panic and turmoil. In the depths of all this I was inundated with vague pieces of information about things I could try, what may be wrong with me and at times very unhelpful and unsympathetic words from family and friends, who I realised have no understanding about mental health whatsoever. However, thank the Lord that I found you, be mindful. You were my daily guide, my sanctuary, my healer and teacher to finding a path through all the confusion, fear and dread. You brought sense and logic and clarity and I trusted you to help me heal myself. To anyone experiencing panic, fear, anxiety, depression, tiredness, lethargy, lack of motivation, social separation and numbness then you are not alone. I had all of these but this course guided me and helped me. There are just two calm, normal and easily spoken individuals gently guiding you in various exercises and explanations. Whilst it is not a live conversation, the mentors sincerity is strong and I felt they truly cared about helping me to get better. I have improved over the past few weeks and whilst the idea of weeks may seem a long time to anyone just starting off on this journey, just remember, the sooner you start, the closer you are to getting your life back. You will get better and you are not alone, we are all on this path together with you.

The course was for my husband who has mixed depression and has had depression all his adult life. He managed it by taking medication but it got worse a year ago. I found it hard to motivate him to do the course but I think it will come in to its own now that we can return to it when necessary as we did for fifty minutes yesterday. The psychiatrist suggested I buy a book on compassion but the one I found is very academic; I found that the material in Be Mindful is exactly the same as offered by courses based on compassion theories. So, yes, it is a very valuable course and I'm grateful to have found it.

Basic introduction to mindfulness practice in an easy to follow format. Even though having practiced mindfulness for a while I found it worthwhile and enjoyed learning slightly different (new to me) ways and analogies to describe things. Never having done any structured course in mindfulness I enjoyed having the gentle guidance from Ed and Tess through the videos and emails. Thank you

This course was recommended by a like minded friend of long standing. He recognised in what he had achieved, something that would be of great benefit to me at this time of the CV19 Pandemic. Before I started this course about 4 weeks into lock down/Isolation, I was almost a wreck and having had to revert to medication for Anxiety and panic Attacks. I was scared rigid. I had very few strategies for dealing with the 'threats' and fears associated with what was happening. I had stopped listening or watching any news at all; I could not deal with that continuous torrent of horror. The I got the Course started and the Body Scan saved my sanity. I found the presentation so calming and kind that it made a huge difference almost immediately and has given me strength and confidence to look at things 'beyond my control' in a whole different light. Thank you, as Coldplay once almost sang, for 'fixing me'. This course may seem daunting and possibly weird at first, but once you have actually had your first mindful meal and done a Body Scan every day for a week (and more of course), you just want to have more and get more things to do. I must thank my friend for his generosity in sharing this with me four weeks ago. He too has contributed to giving me strength, understanding and a Tool bank for the rest of my life.

I completed the course 6 weeks ago but since then, abnormally, we have been mostly in lock-down due to the Covid-19 crisis so, in these strange circumstances, it is difficult for me to fairly evaluate my reaction to the course. Nevertheless, I am glad to have taken and completed the course. I have continued to practice some of the exercises on a daily basis and I intend to refer back to the library section of the website regularly as I will make mindfulness part of daily life. I have been prone to occasional anxiety attacks throughout my adult life, so I am hoping that mindfulness will be beneficial to me in the long-term when life returns to normal.
