This course has really helped me with my day to day life struggles. I have various illness which adversely affect my mobility, I have virtually no social life and am the sole carer for my partner who has a serious mental health illness. I now have several strategies to fall back on which as I get more proficient will allow me to improve my quality of life. And I haven't even had to go out of the Front Door.

I thought this was a good introduction to mindfulness. The emails sent during the week were good prompters to stay in tune with mindful thinking and to carry on the course. Some exercises were harder than others and keeping focussed was difficult at times but doing the exercises left me feeling calmer and more in control. I am looking forward to studying and practising mindfulness further.

This course has been a very valuable kick-start, I practised meditation on a daily basis since I started the course. The influence seems to be very subtle, and I feel like I'm at the beginning of a lot of positive changes or suggestions about how things might take shape in the future. Helped me to think a bit clearer; enabled me to loosen up a little bit inside myself regarding my ideas and feelings; accepting uncertainty a bit more and even enjoying the fact that you don't always know what's coming. I became more aware of anxieties and worries, they seemed more at times, came more into focus, but I was able to talk about it quite openly to a friend. Thank you, Tessa and Ed, you are excellent guides!

I found the course very helpful. I have strategies that I can use when needed. I found I have learnt quite a bit about myself which is somewhat useful as it sometimes explains why I react as I do. I have not always found it easy to practice as its quite hard facing your fears.

I suffer from anxiety and stress and have recently been experiencing physical symptoms like chest pains and burning scalp. My friend recommended Mindfulness. When I first started the course, I wanted to finish it as quickly as possible so that I could get back to my life. I now understand that being mindful helps you to accept the way you feel and deal with pain and stress in a more relaxed way and it takes time and practice. Since finishing the course, I have read the mindful manifesto and other mindfulness books. I meditate for 30 minutes each day and try to be mindful when walking or working. It's really helped me overcome my anxiety and stress and deal with difficult situations. I know it will take time to feel completely 'normal' again but I'm so glad I took this course. It's really changed my life in a good way.

I have enjoyed doing the whole of this course. For me the mindful meditation has been the greatest help. I even sit in the garden sometimes, just paying attention to my breathing and listening to the birds. I bought the book to go along with this course and now I have lent it to a friend who is interest. great course

This has been a wonderful experience for me. The course itself was beautifully put together with really effective "prompts". And so gentle... I have scored higher on all counts on before and after assessments but I understand the reasons and context; difficult health, work and family issues all coincided with this course and I am truly thankful that my work with Tessa and Ed helped me through. I started this 4 week course nearly 7 weeks ago!! I was rushing from one job to the next getting very little done. I couldn't sit down and read, paint, or even breath for myself. I saw this course as yet another thing to add to my big list of things to do!! But I did get the 1st week done, it took me 2 and 1/2 weeks to do but I got there I then followed the next 3 weeks in succession and every week got easier and easier. I don't how but the time just become available (well I do really). Over the last 7 weeks I found that I can do things more and more fluidly and the strange feature of spending time to save time began to occur. I would highly recommend mindfulness to anyone even if you are a highly productive at work, the question is can you use this at home?
