This course has provided me with the opportunity to experience practicing mindfulness meditation without the high cost of one of the one-to-one or distance learning courses and in a format which has been easy to fit into my daily life. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and will be looking to continue and develop my practice through a more in-depth course as soon as I can. The benefits to my daily life from working through this course have been that I am more aware of my reactions to stress and more able to deal with these as they arise and not get caught up in thoughts. The course has really made a difference. I feel so much better. It's hugely comforting to know I have something really effective up my sleeve when things get tough. I really have enjoyed this course even if I wasn't particularly stressed to begin with. (And I'm even less stressed now!) I liked the presenters and liked their voices on the recordings. I learnt some things about myself that I hadn't been able to get at before - even though meditation isn't new to me. The variety in the different exercises was very useful and I'm optimistic that I'm going to be able to continue to practice.

Really enjoyed this journey - not been the best student ever! Sometimes have let my practice slip but feel like the foundations of my journey are here.. Has really made a difference to my day to day life and to the wellbeing of me, my husband, my kids and friends and family. I work for the NHS on a Mental Health Assessment Ward and being mindful has really helped how I view my job and the stress that I carry, but it also helped me to relate better and build better relationships with the patients. Thank you. Life is a journey and although I may not be perfect at being kind to myself and finding the time to practise I have made an ongoing commitment to try and incorporate mindfulness into every day of my life.

I've bought many books about mindfulness and started many practices which I later abandoned. The difference with this is that it IS a course and therefore keeps you on track (using daily activities, reminders etc) until such time as you have developed mindful habits. This was really great.

I have felt that making the decision to do this course and following it through each week has been a strong and positive step I have taken in my life - a way of taking control a bit, not losing it. Logging in regularly and receiving emails has helped me stay connected and kept me going and I have found the pattern of daily practice quite 'grounding' - a reassurance that everything was ok - well sometimes at least. I need to practise more to feel like this more often I think. I have appreciated the fact that the two course leaders remain constant throughout the course - the familiarity of their voices on audio exercises and videos really helps, I think. It helps that they sound calm, that they smile and that they present material in a friendly, approachable way. I really feel this has been time well - I was going to say 'well spent' but it doesn't really feel like spent time, certainly not in a wasted sort of way. I's see it more as investment I have made in my own life - in today and in my future; a gift I can, with practise, give to myself every day.

I found the practice of mindfulness very different from what I expected. I believed that it would be more relaxation focused, but after I realized that it was more important to actually be aware of what was going on around me and get out of my thoughts, I find that I'm more relaxed anyway. I found the audio practices very easy to follow and valuable to keep doing going forward. This was a wonderful course, my favorite things were the raisin eating (very well done and really pulled me into the ideas quickly) and the breathing exercise. Wonderful, thank you!

When I started the course I wasn't really sure if it was for me but then when I did the stress test at the start of the course I was surprised to see that the questionnaire described exactly many of the ways I was behaving and feeling in reaction to the perceived stresses in my life. With each week as I completed the tasks I felt myself becoming calmer, happier and more in control. When I felt myself becoming anxious or stressed I had a resource I could turn to that worked quickly and effectively to bring me back to mindfulness. Many of the exercises are simple and fit in easily with everyday life -they are not a chore but instantly available and effective and I find myself using these exercises just in the course of every day life, keeping me in the moment, and able to enjoy life as I am living it at that moment, be it sitting on a bus, walking down the street, or meeting with friends. Some of the effects of being mindful were more dramatic, putting me in direct contact with emotions that were tender and compassionate and enabling me to bring these feelings into my everyday life. Most importantly the course encouraged me to be kind to myself, not to apportion blame but to be with things as they are, casting a gentle awareness over thoughts and emotions. It has been a chance to get in touch with myself at many levels. Best of all, my family and friends all share in enjoying the space mindfulness creates I have asked my closest family and friends if they have noticed any difference in me. They say I am noticeably more relaxed, easier to talk to and I seem happier. Tension and irritability has given way to thoughtfulness; a sense of panic to time to think before I act. And sometimes not to act at all but to just let things be as they are. These things have given me a great sense of lightness and freedom, a growing confidence in my own judgment and ability to act wisely and with compassion.

I enjoyed completing the course even if it took me much longer than 4 weeks. To me it was important not to pay lip service to it but to practice and try to imbed each aspect I learnt into daily living, to do this I required mind space. The last few weeks have been particularly difficult with my work and I have used the process to help me accept what is happening and to allow the feelings to come and go without trying to analyze them too much. My higher score in the assessment is a reflection of my work life, my home life I think has been less affected because of the skills I have learnt and that is a real bonus to me and my family

Before I started this course, I was worried I wouldn't have the time to actually complete it because I was so busy completing my teacher training course. However, the course fits perfectly into even a busy life and you can log in to complete the practices and watch the videos and, as you begin your mindfulness journey, you may even find that your life somehow becomes less busy and frantic. This course has been great in making me slow down, appreciate things more and approach life in a more inquisitive way. I'd recommend it to anyone!

The Be Mindful Online course really made me realize how I react to stress and gave me valuable, easy and manageable ways to explore my feelings and reactions, and simple strategies that made a difference in day to day life. At the start, I struggled to understand my reactions to some of the exercises but as the course went on, I learnt that these reactions are common and once I had worked through that, I started to make progress and really enjoy the feeling of making progress with my approach to stressful situations.

I had started to read as much as I could find about Mindfulness and was fascinated by the theory. I could have just read more and more but I found this course and it helped me to actually start practicing. I have found this online course simple to follow, I liked the control of choosing when I would do the practices and this has helped me to complete the exercises. The resources were useful and the emails with extra gems of insightfulness arrived at just the right moments. Before I started the course I had read about mindfulness and done some practice, but I discovered that I had not absorbed some of the building blocks that I have learnt in the last four weeks. I have noticed too, some positive changes in myself, my thoughts and feelings and my behavior. If you are thinking about doing this course then I recommend that you do so, you have everything to gain.
