For anyone too shy to join a group, this online course is an ideal taster of the practice of Mindfulness. The sessions and video clips are easy to follow and easy to download, so that you can use them whenever you want and at times that fit into your own routine. I felt that Tessa and Ed's delivery was friendly and compassionate. Good ambassadors for Mindfulness practice. The website was also very easy to navigate yourself around.

This course made me think, learn and consider changing how I work. It has certainly calmed me down. Putting myself in the moment NOW and using the breathing techniques has certainly made a difference to me. Even if it's only for a short time, I now make a point of doing this. I found the course revealing. Although I felt pretty confident before, I now feel better about being a 'loner'. I have a few good friends, but they have selected me, I have not gone out of my way to court them. I like botany and scientific things and so do they. The reason I took the Mindfulness course is because I have had Postherpetic Neuralgia for 22 months now, it's really painful and I cannot bear my skin to be touched. I have devised a shield out of a cereal packet that I can wear under my clothes. I look like a hunchback but I don't have to go to work or the shops etc. I can go out into the garden with it and do light work. Surprisingly, this course has helped - I accept the pain and look forward to the day "when I wake up and find that it has gone", as someone said to me.

I found a lot of the exercises really worked for me, mindful breathing is a quick easy and exercise that can be done anywhere and has really helped to reduce my stress levels. I would highly recommend that everyone should be practising mindfulness, this course was very useful as an introduction to mindfulness.

I found it quite hard to begin with. I felt some resistance as I tried to keep up with daily mindfulness, telling myself it wasn't worth it before I even tried. Throughout the course I have managed to confront my negative feelings more, not by always arguing with myself but through gentle encouragement and learning to trust myself more.

Finding myself with a few long term medical conditions was never part of my life plan. I found myself unable to sleep and when I did woke up more tired than when I had gone to bed, life suddenly became exhausting and stressful. I did not expect to get much out of the mindfulness course but from day one I felt less anxious, more peaceful and not quite as stressed as I had previously. This has continued throughout the course and I deliberately held back in completing it as I was not ready to finish it. I now feel I have the tools to continue on my own but will be making the most of my library access in the future. Thank you Tessa, Ed and the team

I really enjoyed it.. but the only thing I found difficult was when I was receiving cancer treatment and had a surgical intervention too, so sometimes this made it difficult to be 100% with answering the assessments, as some things were dictated by my physical health as opposed to my mental health. I have found also that I have enjoyed doing the meditation ones too, in fact almost every day at some stage.. I definitely know now when I have NOT DONE THE PRACTISE.. and almost crave to find the time, particularly if its been a hospital day!!

I made a couple of false starts with the course, but it remained open and available to me and eventually I was in the right place to work my way through. For me it was an experiment and I tried hard to remain open minded and to persist even when the exercises seemed weird or pointless. Having finished the course I'm glad I stuck with it. It hasn't transformed my life, but I have new perceptions and approaches to dealing with stress and negative narratives. When I find I have time and space to do some mindful breathing or one of the other exercises I look forward to it, and emerge calmer, stronger, more sorted. And so I feel I will stick with it, because it is helpful. Thanks to the course designers and leaders.
